About

Purpose
All women will go through menopause. While the symptoms vary from person to person, for many, this can be a very difficult time. Mood swings, weight gain, poor sleep, anxiety, depression, and "brain fog" (not to mention hot flushes) are just some things women experience. Yet, there are few professional services available to properly support women during this critical time.
During puberty, there is awareness, education and support for girls and parents. During pregnancy, women have access to multiple different healthcare providers throughout their journey. Yet, during perimenopause, which typically lasts 7-10 years, and post-menopause, there is often little to no professional help.
Our goal is to improve women's health by supporting them through an often overlooked yet profound stage in life.

Vision
We created Womankind Health Co to bridge the healthcare gap for women. We believe that women deserve better access to quality care to assist them during perimenopause and beyond.
We bring together dietitians, psychologists and physiotherapists/EPs to provide comprehensive support to women. Our vision is to be the leading holistic healthcare provider for women in menopause, and achieve lasting, positive change.
We also want men, women and businesses to be educated on menopause symptoms and solutions. Whether you're currently perimenopausal, post-menopausal or preparing for perimenopause,
this is for you.

About Us

Co-founder & Accredited Practicing Dietitian
SYBILLA O'KANE
MNutDiet, BSc, MAGlobalComm, BA
As a Dietitian and Nutritionist, I am passionate about nutrition across the lifespan helping people feel confident and empowered in their relationship with food.
I've had a diverse career helping clients with a range of health concerns, including working in gut health, paediatrics, fertility, pregnancy, and menopause.
When I started working with menopausal clients, I quickly realised the complexity of issues for women during this time, and the lack of awareness and professional supports in place for them. I decided to specialise in this area and identified the need to create a company dedicated to holistic healthcare throughout women's menopause journey, and Womankind Health Co was born. I wanted to create a place where women were seen, heard and validated.
I believe nutrition is the cornerstone to living a life filled with health and vitality. I have a down-to-earth approach to nutrition and work alongside my clients to create realistic and sustainable changes that fit into everyday life. I believe food should never be about strict rules or guilt--it's about nourishment, enjoyment and finding balance. I apply the same principles I give to my clients to my own life, aiming for consistency in nutrition and exercise, not perfection. Having energy to keep up with my daughters now, and in the future, is what motivates me.
When I am not working, I like spending quality time with my husband, our daughters, and our dog.

I understand the juggle of trying to manage the competing demands of life, and the impact that can have on both health and happiness. It can feel overwhelming knowing where to start, but I am here to support with practical psychological tools.
I have 16-years' experience working in corporate healthcare roles and the mental health sector, before working for myself as a Psychologist. After learning more about the impact of menopause on mental health, I started to research it myself. The more I learned, the more passionate I became about working in this under-resourced area, and alongside Sybilla, we created this company.
Psychology isn't just my career, it's my passion. I love learning and reading new research, constantly improving my knowledge to support my clients.
My approach is warm, empathic and optimistic. I care deeply for my clients and believe that a strong therapist-client relationship is key to fostering positive change.
I work collaboratively with clients using research-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based approaches, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy principals for relationship issues.
I am a lover of coffee, the beach, and quality food. In my spare time, I enjoy the beautiful Sydney outdoors with my energetic, young family!
I look forward to meeting you soon and working with you.
